Mary has a rich and diverse education. She holds two Bachelor of Science degrees: Exercise Science in Worksite Health Promotion and Exercise Science in Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation. As a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, she has helped patients recover from chronic disease and has seen firsthand that “exercise is medicine.”
She is especially interested in the body-mind connection and the physical toll that stress has on the body and mind. She takes a whole health approach when helping people with lifestyle goals, which is informed through years of studying holistic nutrition, yoga, and mindfulness meditation.
Mary is a certified Shambhava Hatha Yoga Instructor, ACSM Health Fitness Specialist, and ACSM Clinical Exercise Specialist. She seeks to empower the healer within each of us and to nurture our responsibility for creating lasting behaviors and vibrant health. When not listening to her client’s triumphs, she enjoys a mountain adventure or a rejuvenating yoga class.
Tying herself to Estes Park, Colorado for the last ten years, Quinn is climber, triathlete, and yogi. She particulary enjoys how exercise and adventure challenges both body and mind.
Professionally Quinn works during the summer months as a climbing ranger in Rocky Mountain National Park. She is the only female and 1 of 6 in this highly coveted position. To compliment the rescue and medical component of this job, Quinn teaches Wilderness Medical Courses with Remote Medical International during the winter months.
With a Bachlors of Arts in Psychology and Graduate education in Educational Psychology, Quinn started Dovetail in 2010. She is most interested in the relationship between bodies natural chemical response and their psychological effects. Faciliting ways to retrain our learned negative responses into more appropriate positive to acheive stronger, positive realtionships and self.
